OSPREY HOUSE

Built on the banks of a large freshwater lake on the NSW mid north coast, surrounded by a working macadamia farm, the Osprey house has been designed to maximise views of the surrounding environment, utilise passive solar design and provide the clients with a strong link between indoor and outdoor spaces. The large north facing outdoor lounge area connects seamlessly with the kitchen and living areas through the use of large sliding glass doors. By taking into account both the prevailing breezes and the winter sun angles the outdoor space remains cool throughout summer, and sunny and warm throughout the winter months.  The large wrap around verandah connects all rooms to the outdoors whilst retaining privacy from each other. The master bedroom takes full advantage of the stunning 270 degree views.

DARLING STREET HOUSE

This existing small 3 bedroom house had been pushed and pulled over the years, with poorly built rooms added at different times creating an interior space with no connection to the outside, very little natural light, small bedrooms and a confusing internal layout. By moving the kitchen from the middle of the house to the rear we were able to create a large open plan living, dining, kitchen area that flows onto a back deck and from there down to the backyard. A second quiter family room was created at the front of the house, perfect for entertaining. A master bedroom suite was added giving this young family plenty of room to grow.

MEADOW STREET HOUSE

This existing dated brick single story house is in for a big surprise. The addition of an upper floor with raked ceiling, ocean views and north facing full length deck will convert this into a stunning space. The clients love of Cape Cod beach houses, and an existing store of timber means a lot of carefully considered details and exposed timber throughout.

SEAVIEW HOUSE

This large double story house has been designed to allow family living upstairs with self contained accomodation for extended family downstairs. Both levels capture extensive ocean views and prevailing breezes. The north facing roof has been designed to maximise the solar panel options to power the house while high level windows and raked ceiling ensure the spaces feel light and airy throughout.
